Whenever I am on holiday haircare usually drops to the bottom of my priority list. I pack the serums, oils and face masks to keep my skin in check but for some reason my tresses get forgotten about. This trip however something happened to my hair that I have never experienced before, instead of the usual straight style I have naturally, I suddenly developed dry and wirey hair that was pretty impossible to manage. I was plying my roots and tips with oil and nourishing treatments but nothing did the trick so I did what any beauty obsessed would do in my situation – hit the shops!
Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque – I briefly spoke about this gem in my monthly favourites post yesterday as it has been an utter hair saviour. I picked this up from Ulta in the 3.3oz/100ml bottle as you only need the smallest amount to make the biggest difference to your hair. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever used something that makes such an improvement after one use. Pop a small amount on clean hair, leave for around 5-10 minutes (or however long your’re willing to sing in the shower for) and then rinse away. After using this masque my hair in instantly soft, smooth, sleek and more importantly back to being manageable!
Phil Smith Argan Oil – I have mentioned this product a few times already on the blog however there still doesn’t seem to be any info about it online (I’m looking at you Phil Smith!) It was a recent freebie with Cosmopolitan Magazine and since getting it it has become a staple in my haircare routine. I run it through damp hair and leave to dry naturally for a bit before blow drying. What I love is that it is that is an oil in a cream making it more lightweight, perfect for fine or flyaway hair.
Living Proof Prime Style Extender – a primer for your hair, whatever next?! Dubious as to whether this would make a difference I picked up a bottle to put it to the test, what I didn’t expect was how quickly I would fall for it. This is meant to protect your hair whilst extending the life of your style. I don’t often style my hair but wanted to see if this would help to extend the time I go between washes. I apply this before any other product (like you would a primer) and I find that this prevents my hair from getting greasy as quickly. I can go an extra day without washing my hair and on holiday it meant that any style was retained for longer. A bit of a luxury purchase but if you are able to snap one up I really recommend it.
