Zara Eau De Toilette Black Peony – £7.99

Zara has become quite the clothing mecca for me recently. Their relaxed shapes and classic cuts are perfect for work and making an outfit look a little more chic. I nabbed almost all their patterned shirts when they were in fashion last year and their jegging style trousers are one of my most worn pieces. One thing I didn’t associate with Zara however was perfume. Whilst in the store a while back with a friend I spied a selection of their perfumes by the checkout. As I was not the one making the purchase (shocking I know) I took the chance to have a sniff of the fragrances on offer. The first one I picked up and instantly loved was Black Peony. It smells very similar to my all time favourite perfume Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb, but comes in at a much more purse friendly price tag. I was restrained and told myself that I didn’t need it but thanks to three of my perfumes running out at once I snuck on back to pick one up.

This perfume is a winner for me in every category; it smells amazing, lasts all day on your skin, comes in a cute bottle that can be popped in your handbag and it also doesn’t break the bank. I admit that initially the thought of a £7.99 fragrance reminded me of the dodgy water-downed versions you can buy at a market, but this still packs a punch for your nose and doesn’t instantly wear off. Yes the lasting powers do not compare to my one true love Viktor, but for the price tag and for something to throw on everyday that you don’t mind using up quickly, this is perfection.

Have you tried out a Zara perfume before? What are your thoughts on this budget beauty addition?
