I haven’t been beauty hauling or even shopping for a very long time! November for me was all about work and slapping on the products that my skin could drink up and enjoy. Now December has rolled around and I am hitting the shops to do my Christmas shopping for the year, I can’t resist a treat (or three!) for myself whilst I am perusing the shops. I had on my list Autumn nail varnishes so I headed straight to Boots as Essie are my go to brand when looking for a new nail varnishes. I find that with their new Diffusion Line (that you can get in Boots and Superdrug) they not only come with a super thick brush making for easy and quick application, I also find that they are one of the longest lasting formulas on my nails. To top things off they also have a colour selection that even the newest of beauty junkies can not resist!
As I was eyeing up the Essie stand my eyes instantly fell on the top line – sparkling in front of me was the New Christmas Collection. Considering none of these were on my shopping list I managed to nab myself ‘Leading Lady’ and ‘Where’s My Chauffeur’. The first is the perfect Christmas red sparkle and almost impossible to say no to on the 1st December! The second is a bright, blue teal colour that even I had myself questioning as to why I picked it up considering Autumn colours was on my list. Even though this was a splurge item it’s just the most beautiful colour to say no to. Also, god forbid this then sold out! I had to make sure it was mine :p The final colour I picked up was ‘Wicked’. A really deep and dark brown red this is the Autumn shade and will be able to carry me through till Spring. I have already given myself a late night manicure with ‘Leading Lady’ to get it onto my nails and no doubt the others will be soon to follow!
Also for any organisation lovers out there – these polishes from the new collection come with the name of the polish stuck on top of the lid! No more having to peel off the white label and cut round it to get the name on the bottle!
Keep you eyes pealed for upcoming posts with full swatches of each of these beauts =)
