UNII Palette in Midnight – £15.00*

Makeup storage is pretty much an obsession of mine – on a par with my obsession for makeup! Not only do I like swatching, buying and debating over pretty much the same shade of dusky brown eyeshadow, but I love to ponder over how these purchases will be stored. My first palette purchase was the MAC Palette which, if you haven’t seen them, is a black cased rectangular palette with 15 inserts for MAC eyeshadows. These have now seemed to have disappeared from the MAC website and have been replaced with a Pro Palette for £14 and a 15 shadow insert for £6.50 or 6 blush insert also for £6.50. Considering I removed my eyeshadow insert to give myself more room in the palette it’s quite a good idea that they have changed this and that they also come with a clear lid so you can now easily see everything inside. My second palette purchase was a Z Palette at IMATS a few years ago. As it was bought at a trade show I can’t remember the price but you can pick them up online for about £15.99. I have the leopard print one and it comes with a magnetic clear lid and open space where you can store any size shadow or blush. These palettes have been brilliant but both store very different things (one neutral shaodows and blush and one colour shadows) so when it comes to travelling I either take them both or have to mix it all around and take a big palette away with me. This was until the UNII Palette!

The UNII Palette is a smaller version of all the above. The major difference to the MAC and Z Palette is that the UNII Palette comes with a massive mirror making it perfect for travelling and makeup on the go. Any size shape and size product can be stored in this palette and there is also a handy thumb grip that you can use to hold everything securely in place. Not only that, the palette also comes with a magnetic sheet and easy how-to guide to depotting so if there is any products you want to add to the palette you already have the magnetic back to pop on to help keep it in place. You can even squeeze makeup brushes into the palette too! They also come in a great array of colours and the more you buy, the cheaper they become.

This has now become my go to travel palette and houses everything I need when I’m out and about!
