Antipodes are a organic and natural skincare brand that have recently been making a big splash on the blogging scene. They use no artificial colours or fragrances, no minerals oils, no animal ingredients and also no synthetic fillers. From New Zealand a lot of the Antipodes range contains plant extracts and premium avocado oil to make their luxurious and skin boosting products. Not only that, Antipodes do not test on animals and they won Best Natural Range in the Natural Health Awards 2012.
I have recently been trying out the Reincarnation Pure Facial Exfoliator that contains 100% pure avocado oil, marigold flower, tonka bean and sandalwood, yum! What I like about this product is that it sells itself as a morning exfoliator to use a sunrise (or whenever your skin feels like a bit of a pick me up). Most exfoliators and masks I use at night so it’s nice to have something to pop on in the morning. I thought this mask would be one that I would forget about whilst rushing out of the door to work however, I apply it durning my morning shower and find that it gives my skin an added hit of radiance and life. It is a very gentle exfoliator and the jojoba beads inside work to take away some of that overnight grime but without leaving your skin feeling red raw. I rub this into moist skin in the shower, leave whilst I condition my hair, and then gently rinse away. Even though this a skincare step I never have thought of doing before in the morning I really have been enjoying it and also the skincare benefits it gives. Not just that, this exfoliator smells like orange Lucozade tablets I used to have when I was younger and each time I apply it I feel like a kid again!
Antipodes are a brand I am already itching to try more of and their much raved Aura Manuka Honey Mask is already on my Christmas wish list!
