Nuxe Reve de Meil Ultra Comfortable Night Cream – £20/22

I’ve never been one to faff around with day and night creams. When it comes to moisturisers, toners and even serums I like one that I can use both AM and PM as I find having time specific products can quickly amp up the price of my skincare routine. This was all fine and dandy until I went to Paris and undertook an epic skincare haul (which you can find out all about here). When in Paris I specifically wanted to pick up something from Nuxe but couldn’t decide what that purchase would be. I already had a toner and lip balm in my shopping bag but I kept being drawn back to the moisturisers. I had heard great things about the Reve de Meil range so took the plunge and picked up the Ultra Comfortable Face Cream to try.

This is a night specific moisturiser and works whilst you sleep to restore and replenish lipids. Lipids are absorbed into the skin and assist in building up a barrier from harmful pollutant and toxins. They also have moisture binding properties so when they are added into the skin they help to prevent moisture loss throughout the day. This Nuxe cream is meant for dry and sensitive skin and, although my skin is mainly combination and slightly dehydrated, I find in the winter it quickly becomes dry so upping the moisture content in the products I use is very important. What I love about this moisturiser is that it is so thick and luxurious. From the glass pot to the creamy texture it is a joy to put this on at night with each use feeling like a pampering treatment. I can really feel this product being absorbed into my skin and in the morning my face looks radiant, brighter and more suple. The moisture holds throughout the day and I can get away with just using the Bioderma Sebium Mat Anti-Shine Moisturiser in the morning. I have noticed a real positive improvement in the hydration and glow to my skin and am already dreading the day the beautiful little pot runs out!

Have you tried out this Nuxe moisturiser before? What are your go to products to keep dry skin at bay?
