Chelsea Nails – £15.00*

Last weekend I had the special treat of heading over to Chelsea Nails for a Gelish Manicure. Gelish, similar to Shellac, is a hybrid nail varnish that is cured under a UV light to prevent chipping and give you a manicure that last a good 3-4 weeks. Based in deepest, darkest Dorset (well not really just round the corner in The Courtyard Centre in Lytchett Minster :p) Chelsea has set up a small little salon where you feel right at home. The  salon is decorated with displays of her nail art and some cute Halloween styled pictures. She has a nail table in the centre of the room and also a screened off area where she offers spray tanning.

The manicure was started with a bowl of warm water on the table which my hands soaked in whilst my nails were cleaned up. After a bit of filing, clipping and the usual nail markley my nails were looking in tip top condition and were all ready for the Gelish to commence. I was given a pretty big array of Gelish colours to choose from and there were even a couple of glitter options which got me thinking about that good old accent nail! Chelsea is really lovely and helpful in choosing what to pick or pair together.

Once the Gelish had been applied and cured my hand were then covered in moisturiser and popped into the white gloves (that you can see above). My hands were then placed into hand like heaters where my hands and nails were left in a cozy warm environment to relax. I have never had this done before in a salon but it’s a really nice touch that leaves you feeling that extra bit pampered. Once the treatment was all over and your nails are sparkling in the sunlight you are ready to go – but not before being given the nail file that was used on your nails and also the white gloves that were used for your relaxation treatment! Being give your own nail file is not only a great bonus but shows that each client receives their own individual nail files and gloves. You know therefore that everything is hygienic and also means that your never short of a nail file!

Overall going to Chelsea Nails was a really great experience! I felt relaxed, pampered and was sure in the fact that my nails were in the best care. My manicure is still going strong and I already have my plans of what I might get done for near Christmas time :P
