Avon SuperShock Eyeshadow Pencils* – £7.00

Avon are a brand that have never really been on my radar and I honestly thought would never feature on my blog, let alone have a complete rave post about some of their products! Recently I went to an Avon event at the Mayfair Hotel where they showcased their new launch Arctic Goddess. The new collection didn’t really blow me away but they had a mini counter set up at the event where you could  try out and swatch everything else the brand has to offer. As Avon are catalogue and online based  I’ve never had a chance to swatch away and try out their products, and boy was I impressed! The products that most impressed were the SuperShock Eyeshadow Pencils. Every time I swatched one I sounded like I was at a fireworks display! I was pretty taken aback by the sheer pigmentation of these pencils and how super soft they are, not only that they are also a pretty bargainess £7! The SuperShock Eyeshadow Pencils are double ended pencils that have a complementary highlight and crease/lid colour. There are 5 different pencils to choose from and each are just as soft, rich in colour and easy to apply as the last.

I find it hard to pick my favourite as they are all so rich and vibrant. Chocolate Melt and Cream Dream are perfect for an everyday neutral eye and I loved the intensity of Moonshine and Starry Night. All of them work well blended out over the lid, smoked out or used as a liner for a pop of colour of inner corner highlight. So many looks can be created with these and the colour intensity lasts all day. I have become quite a neutral girl recently with my eye shadow choices and these have re-ignited my colour passion!
