MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow in Blue Sorcery and Odd Couple – £16.50

Maybe I should rename these ‘Blast From The Past’ posts to ‘Unloved MAC Products’ considering that is how most of these features are shaping up to be! MAC used to be my go to brand, I used to covet almost every product on their counter and would wait for each collection with bated breath. Whenever anyone would ask what my favourite brand was, without a shadow of a doubt it was MAC. But these days are no longer. MAC are getting more and more pushed to the back of my cupboard in favour of new and exciting natural or luxury brands or even some brilliant high street bargains that are second to none. I am enjoying going outside of the box, trying out different brands and hunting out something that ‘must be better’. Yes MAC do brilliant eye shadows but no longer are they my foundation gods and even their lipstick price hike has me running for the hills.

One product from MAC in particular that never sees the love yet are too beautiful to part with are the Mineralize Eye Shadows. Unfortunately the above two are no longer available but then that does show the age of these two items! I dread to think how long they have been *ahum* gathering dust, but every time I swatch them I can’t bare to let go. Even looking at the above swatches I am trying to rack my brains as to why I don’t use these shadows more. They are pigmented, super vibrant, soft on the lid and blend like a dream. They have even made the pick in my move from London to Bournemouth yet still they remain untouched. Maybe it is due to their slightly dodgy counterparts (I’m looking at you off pink antiqued colour and don’t get me started on you Mr Silver!) but these have never been a go to pick. I’m hoping that doing this post will help me ignite my love for them or if not, you might see them in a blog sale very soon :P
