Bumble & Bumble Colour Minded Range* from £23

Oh the joys of having changed my hair colour! No one told me it was this much work :P Alongside going blonde and the fun of completely changing my hair, getting a drastic colour change has meant that I am able to give colour ranges a ruthless testing. I have already tried out the offerings from Headmasters and their Colour Brilliance Range* (that I have done a full review on here) and now it’s onto Bumble & Bumble and their colour specific offerings from their Colour Minded Range*. Bumble & Bumble are a brand that I have recently delved into and I have love everything I’ve tried. Their Surf Spray (review here) and Thickening Serum (review here) becoming staple item’s in my hair care routine and although slightly pricey, their products do the trick and do so blooming well! My mum, who is an avid hair colorer, has been using their colour range for a few months now and won’t stop raving about it so I was excited to get my hands on the products and put them to the blonde test.

The Colour Minded Range consists of the; Colour Minded Polish* (£25.50) which is a illuminating finisher, Colour Minded Styling Balm* (£25.50) that provides hold and texture whilst retaining colour, Colour Minded Shampoo* (£23) and Colour Minded Conditioner* (£25). Starting off with the Colour Minded Shampoo and Conditioner (which are both sulfate free) they cleanse and clean your hair without stripping any colour or shine. Every product within the Colour Minded Range contains a unique Colour Preserving Complex that ensures your colour isn’t washed out and doesn’t fade. The shampoo is a fairly thick gel like consistency (more so then any other shampoo I have used before) and it’s smells darn delicious! Teamed with the conditioner that has a lighter consistency and a lesser gorgeous smell your hair is really left vibrant. I was actually quite surprised at how, even after one wash, my colour looked more intense. The only slight downside was that due to my hair being completely a different colour (and the sneak through of roots!) the shampoo and conditioner didn’t just make my blonde blonder but my roots too. Overall the colour seemed a lot richer and deeper which gave the impression my roots were more noticeable, but then again they could just be crying out for a dye!

Onto the Colour Minded Styling Balm which contains UV filters and protects against heat and humidity. After washing my hair I always need to use something to add a bit of grit and hold back to my hair otherwise my hair is lifeless and flys all over the place. What’s great about this balm is that not only does it add some texture and life back into my hair, it does so whilst protecting the colour. My hair still keeps it’s natural movement but has more control and shine. Perfect! The last product in the range, that initially left me a little perplexed, is the Colour Minded Polish. Again filled with UV filters this is a weightless liquid that is used to finish off your hair. Now the term finish off is what perplex me but after using it I found that it adds that bit of extra shine whilst protecting from the heat. I took this away on holiday with me and it was brilliant to pop into dry hair before going out for the day to not only add some extra life to my hair but also to protect it from the sun. This really brings out the colour in your hair and is does exactly what it says – finishes off your hair!

Overal I am really impressed with the range and it has really helped to give my colour some added life and vibrancy. Being a lover of volume I find this range doesn’t weigh down my hair much and I can still achieve my normal style or ‘look’ with everything in the range =)
