This week’s ‘Blast From The Past’ is a little bit different. It features a product that I have used in the past and loved, however has recently been released in a slightly new format. Yep you guessed it – it’s the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser but this time with Rose and Lavender!* This new formula came about due to Liz working with a young entrepreneur called Rebecca Taylor who has been supported by the Prince’s Trust. Rebecca has been mentored by Liz for the Tomorrow Campaign where trust supported young people have been paired up with iconic mentors to create a product that will be sold nationwide to raise money for The Prince’s Trust. The product that Liz and Rebecca came up with was a twist on the much loved Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. They added to the formula rose and lavender essential oils to calm and sooth the skin. Not only has the formula been revamped, £2 from every product sold which be donated to The Prince’s Trust! It is also 50ml bigger then the standard Cleanse & Polish bottles.
I was a bit late on the bandwagon with the Cleanse & Polish but as soon as I tried it I loved it! I know it doesn’t work for all skin types and recently the original formula has had a bit of a revamp which not all people like, but I loved using the cleanser and it made a big difference to my skin. I used it solidly for just over a year but then the temptation of other cleanses were too great so I jumped off the wagon. With my much loved RENClearcalm3 Anti-Blemish Clay cleanser (review here) completely empty this has now become my go to cleanser. Not usually a fan of lavender or it’s scent I find this is just a subtle addition to this cleanser. It still has the great same cleansing qualities and doesn’t dry my skin out after using it. I have even decanted some for my mum as she was so eager to try it out!Have you tried out this new offering from Liz Earle? Are you tempted by the rose and lavender additions?
