Recently I have been trying out a few more face masks and really getting into the routine of pampering my skin whilst sitting back and relaxing with a face mask on. Previously I only really used my Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask* (review here) on Sunday nights to help brighten up my skin before the week ahead. I also use the Origins Clear Improvement Mask (review here) which is a saviour in helping my skin out when it is have a teenage kick. The most recent mask that I have been trying out and using is the REN Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask* which can be picked up for £30 and comes with a muslin cloth. This may seem a bit pricey for a face mask but as you don’t need to use this mask very often this bottle will last you a long time.

The Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask* is an exfoliating mask that helps to improve your skin tone, radiance and reduce the appearance of fine lines. The mask is a yellowy/orange coloured sticky cream that you apply to your skin and leave for 10 minutes. What’s slightly strange about this mask is that it doesn’t dry – it stays wet throughout the treatment. Also like most other REN products I have tried it doesn’t smell amazing. This is slightly off-putting but if it does the trick I’m happy to plough through! Once the 10 minutes are over you remove the mask with the muslin cloth that comes in the box and warm water.

So does it do the trick? Well I have been using this on Saturday evenings when I have been at home which averages out at about every other week. Even after only the first couple of uses I could already see a difference. The fruityness of the mask (thanks to passion fruit, lemon, pineapple and even grape!) helps to add radiance and glow to my face without leaving it looking shiny. This mask also helps to exfoliate away the outer layer of your skin and any dead skin cells so after using it my skin feels cleaner and looks so too! I have been really impressed with this mask and have quickly gotten over the smell and the fact that it doesn’t try. It makes a great treatment and added bonus to you skincare routine to keep your skin in check.

Have you tried out this REN mask before? What are you favourite pampering face masks?
