Holiday Hand Luggage Beauty Bag

Last up in my summer holiday posts is the hand luggage beauty bag edition! Ever since the 100ml liquid restrictions came into place with flying I have never bothered with taking anything in my hand luggage beauty wise. No pots, creams, lotions, nada. That was until this year and the beautiful Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup came along with her ‘What’s In My Hand Luggage?‘ video. No word of a lie the night before I went on holiday I sat down with a notebook and pen and re-watched this video noting down everything she took. Needless to say it gave me the perfect travel beauty bag which meant if I was delayed, stuck with out my suitcase or just a bit bored I have plenty of beauty bits by my side. I picked up the Muji Large TPU Pouch (link here) which was the perfect size and didn’t make things too heavy!

Above is all of the makeup items that was stowed away in this bag. I took my Chantecaille Just Skin Tinted Moisturiser which was my only makeup base that I took away with me. I then took my Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Hex (review here) which was perfect to pop onto my waterline if my eyes were looking red. I took a mini Makeup Forever Smokey Lash Mascra* that I received at an event and also my trusty Collection 2000 Concealer. For lips it was my Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfection in 02 Apricot Shimmer (review here) which I literally can not get enough off and a Clinique Chubby Stick in 06 Woppin’ Watermelon. I then also popped in my Carmex Cherry Balm* which contains SPF 15 and is a clear balm just flavoured with cherry – delic! Last but not least is my trusty MAC Blot Powder that is my saviour at beating the shine!

For skincare the above items came along with me. Looks like a lot and as my flight was under two hours I didn’t use many of these – however if I was stuck without a suitcase this bundle would get me through =) I took my Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask (review here) which I decanted into a Muji pot. I then took my Caudalie Beauty Elixr, a hand sanitizer and also my Nuxe Reve de Meil Hand and Nail Cream (review here). To stop my eyes from getting puffy I took my Clinique All About Eyes Serum (review here) and also the Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream. For makeup removal I took the mini Bioderma (as I couldn’t resist the bottle it is too cute!) and then the Origins Super Spot Remover to beat of any nasty blemishes. Then I also took a mini Nip and Fab Mango Smoothie Body Butter which was amazing and also some perfume in my Travelo.

Extra bits that were packed away as well were a mini hair brush, mirror, cotton wool pads and buds and also tissues! Mum thought I was mad for taking so much but it was so great travelling for one with some essentials and my skin thanked me for it too. Sadly that is it for my holiday posts! Looking out at the rainy weather makes me want to be transported back to the sun! Last minute getaway anyone? :P
