These ‘Blast From The Past’ posts have seemed to turn into a bit of a MAC overload! I used to be a MAC junkie and I was 100% addicted and used to buy the stuff left, right and centre. However, recently I (and a lot of the beauty community it seems) have been going off MAC as a brand and I no longer have that need to buy or want to every time a new collection comes out. To be honest in general I have been buying less cosmetics. Instead my purchases are more favoured towards skin care and hair care with the odd nail varnish thrown in for good measure! I have a lot of cosmetics and find myself leaning towards the more natural looks and therefore wearing and reaching for items less. One of my MAC items that has fallen towards the back of the cupboard is the MAC Face and Body foundation. This foundation used to be my summertime saviour and the only thing I would put on my face during the warmer months. It’s a very lightweight waterlike foundation that provides a slight bit of coverage. I used to wear this all the time in the summer alone or mix it with a foundation to alter the colour or lighten the consistency. I used to be a wearer of C3 – yes I know far too dark for my skintone but hey sometimes a girl just wants a bit of colour ;) – and also purchased the shade C1 last year. Don’t get me wrong I still like this foundation but it’s just not one that I immediately reach for any more. Instead I am going for my YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation (review here) or my Laura Mercier Mineral Powder (review here). I was going to take this on holiday with me when I go away next week but I may have made a cheeky tinted moisturiser purchase which I will be taking instead. I think this is one of those products that I will always hold on to but don’t reach for all the time. We have some great memories together and you never know there may be more to be had in the future =)
