With the jet stream moving and summer finally just around the corner SPF and after sun has never been more important. With my pale skin if I am out in the sun without any SPF protection for even just an hour I burn to a crisp! My friends always laugh at me that I am the only person they know who is able to burn their back in the middle of March! With being such an easy burner a good after sun if very important. I need something that is cooling, moisturising and works to get rid of the redness as soon as possible!

Usually whenever I go away with my mum we usually stick to the standard Piz Buin for SPF and after sun but I have never ventured into any by other brands that I love. For example La Roche Posay! Their Posthelios After Sun Melt In Gel* is great for sun exposed skin that may have dried out.

The first thing I noticed about this after sun is that it is really thick – the consistency is much thicker then any other after sun that I have used before. This makes the product really moisturising and you can feel any dryness in your skin quickly going away. This isn’t the most cooling after sun I have used before (I am currently trying out a Liz Earle one that is!) but if you haven’t burnt and want to replace all the moisture back into your skin this is perfect! It sinks in really quickly and any tightness from the day in the sun melts away. 

La Roche Posay Posthelios After Sun Melt In Gel* can be bought from Mistrys Pharmacy for £12.15 from here. Considering it is a really thick formula you don’t need much so the bottle will last you all summer (depending how long it will stay around for ;)
