Happy Saturday all you lovely people! I have a quick news flash that I wanted to share with you today. From the 27th July until the 12th August Headmasters Salons are having a flash half price colour sale. I have always had my hair coloured, whether it be blonde highlights or my more recent all-over blonde change and these flash sales are a life saver! Getting your hair professionally coloured in a salon can be a very pricey process so being able to save a few pennies is always welcomed!

You could maybe go for a few golden highlights throughout your hair to lighten your overall colour for the summer, or if your feeling a bit braver you could even try out the new pastel trend and get the tips of your hair coloured hot pink, soft blue or even violet. “Summer 2012 is definitely the year of the blonde, with designers such as Dolce and Gabbana, Prada and Marc Jacobs all featuring shimmering blonde tones. The key to update this look is to ask for subtle shades of sand, champagne and caramel which melt into a luminous, multi dimensional colour, think Amanda Seyfried, Gwyneth Palthrow and Ferne Cotton.
Another of my personal catwalk favourites is the pastel trend, models were seen sporting hot pink, soft turquoise and vivid violet through there tresses. Marc Jacobs cleverly places pastel pieces for a subtle nod to the trend, while Thakoon and Narcisson Rodriuez went bold with a statement pastel wash. For a more wearable take on this look, opt for a few soft, hidden pastel pieces, perfect for festivals and holidays and sticking to pale candy hues keeps the looks fresh and girlie.
Rose Gold is also another great trend for summer; Rosie Huntington Whitely and Lana Del Ray are perfect examples of how rose gold tones, ooze high-end glamour. Go for muted, soft copper tones, shimmering golds and strawberry blonde hues to add richness and create a super luxe finish. This shade is also super flattering on the complexion and looks great against radiant, sun kissed summer skin.”
