Blast From The Past #1

I have a new feature to share with you! To change things up a bit on my blog and to step away from review after review I have decided to introduce a new feature called ‘Blast From The Past’. I will pop these up on a Wednesday and the idea is to share something that has been a cult classic in the past or something that I used to love that I might have fallen out of love with and why. It’s a great way to delve through any bits that might have been pushed to the back of my makeup draws and to also rediscover some great items!First up is Nars – Turkish Delight!

Nars Turkish Delight was a big cult product a few years ago after it emerged that it was one of Kim Kardashian’s favourites. It’s one of those products that you have in your collection just because of the hype but might not necessarily reach for every day. I haven’t picked this up in a long time! I used to not reach for it because *ahum* I didn’t want to spoil it (pathetic or what?!).  Now there is no excuses and it’s time to rediscover it and see whether I actually even still like it!
Turkish Delight is a very soft baby pink (no wonder it’s a Kimmy K favourite!) and leaves a gorgeous sheen to the lips. It is slightly transparent as you can see in the photo above but layered over something like MAC’s Creme Cup the true vibrancy of the colour shows through. The main downfall of this for me is that it is a dreaded sticky mess. As I have come to love such lipglosses at the Laura Mercier Lip Glacé (review here) and Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfect (review here) this formula leaves somewhat to be desired. However – this has now been added to my carry-around makeup bag for touch ups and to make sure this gets to see the light of day!
Do you own this lipgloss? Are their any products that you have forgotten about or fallen out of love with?
