Public Service Announcement

This is going to be a bit of a different ‘My Week In Pictures’ as I wanted to make a sort of blog announcement. I have been blogging now for almost 2 years and have loved it. I feel like I have grown as a blogger and a beauty enthusiast and the last two years have enabled me to really find my feet in the blogging world. In the beginning it’s hard to know what direction you want to take your blog in as you have never done it before. The first few years are really vital to find your feet, make mistakes and more importantly find out what it is you love about blogging!

I feel like I’m at the point now that I really want to focus my blog in one direction. When it comes down to it I always have been and always will be a girl with a beauty blog. I love beauty and exploring and trying out everything it has to offer. The girl behind the blog (aka me!) has been on a big beauty journey and I feel like this blog will become a place to document that. I am no longer struggling with teenage skin or uninterested about what hair products I use. I am a lot more aware of what ingredients go into products and what effect that have on me. My tastes are changing, my makeup style is evolving and I’ve grown a lot from the girl who started this blog.

I want my blog to focus more on this journey. I enjoy trying out new products for my skin, hair, body, nails etc but I also want to determine what is really in those ingredients lists. I am by no means an expert but I doubt many beauty consumers are either! I want to delve a little deeper into the beauty world and share my findings with you. So what changes will you see? I have a few weekly and monthly feature ideas that I am going to start and also want to make my blog a bit more interactive. At the end of the day I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all the amazing people that read and comment. Hopefully this will give my blog some more direction and you can follow me as I find my way through this ever expanding and changing beauty world =)

I have also added a few buttons that will now appear at the bottom of all my posts. I update my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram all the time with new posts, hauls and what I am up to day to day. Also follow via Bloglovin or Hello Cotton to see all my most recent posts as and when they are live!
