Guerlain have recently launched their new signature scent La Petite Robe Noire* at Selfridges on the 1st June. This new perfume from Guerlain is made up of infused notes of Tonka bean, vanilla, iris and patchouli. I have never tried Guerlain perfumes before and assumed that this would be a heavy fragrance that I would ever so delicately compare to the likes of toilet water. I was all ready to write off this new perfume when to my surprisement the scent I was met with was light, fresh and slightly fruity without being too overpowering. Even on my skin this scent is lovely!

La Petite Robe Noire* (the little black dress) celebrates the timelessness and simple sophistication that you can get from your favourite LBD. This fragrance used to be an exclusive scent that was only available the Guerlain’s most loyal clientele – but now after being revamped in 2012 this ‘essence of Parisian elegance’ is available to the masses.

I am a sucker for packaging and perfume bottles. The sample bottle above shows the shape that the full sized bottle is however with the full sized bottles they cascade from a light pinky/purple to black at the bottom. Finished off with a Guerlain ribbon at the top this bottle is every inch of Parisian chic. La Petite Robe Noire* can be bought in three sizes: 30ml – £42, 50ml – £60 and 100ml – £86 and I can already tell that after this sample has run out I will be off to buy a bottle!
