Clarins Lip Perfector is Lip Perfecting?

I think I have a new obsession and it involves the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 02 Apricot Shimmer (wow that’s a mouthful!) I saw this on the lovely Anna (from Vivianna Does Makeup whose blog can be found here) and each time she had it on I asked what she had on her lips. Why? Because the colour is just simply beautiful. I said to myself I didn’t need it, that my new lipgloss loves from Laura Mercier (which my review can be found here) were more then enough for my lipgloss needs. But then pay day came along and I found myself on Escentual website. You all know what happened next!Escentual offer some great discounts and I managed to snap up the Clarins Lip Perfector for £12.80 when it is usually retails for £16. After the first application I knew it was love. Now I wouldn’t call this a lipgloss, more of a glossy balm lipstick. It by no means has any of the sticky residue that you get from most lipglosses but leaves a very glossy finish compared to a lipstick. The formulation of this Lip Perfector just glides onto your lips and leaves them looking plump, moisturised and looking gorgeous. You get a pretty decent ware time out of it and the colour is subtle enough to wear everyday but gives your lips that slight kiss of colour.

I have stopped myself from carrying this around in my handbag any more as I was worried about the rate I was getting through it! Either over lipstick, on its own or with a lip pencil this is now my go to everyday gloss. Does that mean my love for Laura Mercier Lip Glaces have faltered? Not at all! I use the Clarins Lip Perfector for a quick and easy gloss of colour as I’m running out of the house but I love the Laura Mercier Lip Glaces for providing something a bit more luxurious that also comes in a lot more colours!
