i’m not usually one for lip glosses. i find them very sticky, they don’t last long on your lips and usually cause a lot more hassle then they are worth. i do have a fair few lip glosses but they mostly remain unloved in a draw with a few favourite cheapies that get taken on nights out as i don’t mind if i loose them. this all changed however drastically last week and i have sandra from ttsandra/15 steps then a beauty blog to blame. sandra instagrammed a picture of her wearing laura mercier lip glacé in bare nude and needless to say it looked beautiful. as you’ve probably guessed it the next day i made sure it was mine :Pbare naked and i were soon to be best friends and i paraded my new bff around for the world to see. it’s beauty even rubbed off on anna (from vivianna does makeup) who promptly treated herself to two other lip glacé shades. what i love about the laura mercier lip glacés is that they are not that dreaded sticky gloop you come to assume of lip glosses. instead they just glide onto you lips providing moisture and a light gloss without looking like you’ve slathered your lips in vaseline. they also have the most delicious smell! yes they are pricy at £18.50 a pop but in my eyes they are well worth it. so worth it in fact that i got jealous when anna bought the limited edition orange tulip one that i quickly snapped it up with a store card voucher :P what can i say my lips agree with them!

bare naked is a gorgeous nude. it adds a hint of colour to the lips when worn along or will add the perfect pop to your favourite lipstick. this lip glacé doesn’t provide a lot of colour but just the right amount to leave you lips looking luscious.


orange tulip is a limited edition shade (go snap it up quickly!) and it looks quite bright in the tube however once applied it gives a more softer and natural peachy colour to the lips. lip gloss perfection!


as you can see me and lip glacés have embarked on a very strong friendship that i can see me adding to very soon :P
