chanel rouge coco shine in 69 flirt

a few weeks ago i had a bit of a shopping accident. i went to kingston to go on a tight hunt for the big new york wedding and had no money and no time to look for anything other than tights. low and behold the lift from the car park stopped directly at the john lewis beauty hall and i couldn’t stop myself. i tried and failed again at getting a sample of the dior skin forever foundation and instead ended up swatching this beauty and fall head over heels for it

this lipstick is from the printemps 2012 collection and retails at *ahum* £23 *ahum*

the chanel rouge coco shine lipsticks are described as hydrating sheer lipshines. the best i can compare them to are the new revlon lipbutters. they are hydrating like a lip butter but have the colour of a lipstick. however, these do not have the colour impact of a lipstick. the colour payoff is more similar to a tinted vaseline but it leaves your lips looking lovely and glossy. on the website (well house of fraser at least) the colour swatch of this lipstick is orange. full on orange. now this lipstick is anything but orange. flirt is a soft coral pink that can look quite orange in the dark but in the light is has a really pretty pink shimmer

I love the colour but I think I’d prefer if it had more pigmentation, lovely for a nice sheer gloss though :) x
